Crazy Horse on angry people

If there was three lines of people, one line of tolerant people, one of patient people and one of angry people, the angry line would be far in excess of the total of the other two.

From this learn that the earth has too much anger and second that the passage to less anger involves learning more tolerance and patience.

Crazy Horse on measuring wisdom

In its own way every animal is wise and from every animal you should learn.

No animal is invincible, which means their wisdom is not all encompassing.  Therefore, from all animals you can learn something, but you cannot learn everything from just one animal.

The measure of wisdom in man is not in what you know, for no man knows all things, but in knowing who to learn what from.

Crazy Horse on failure

Failure is only repeated when you repeat your failure.

Crazy Horse on prison population.

Countries with a high prison population see themselves as tough nations, protective of the good in society, by removing the bad from the streets, patting themselves on the back for their endeavours.

They ought to see themselves as a nation with an unnaturally high number of people who disagree with their laws and the way the nation is run.

Therefore, they are a nation in need of reform.

The higher the prison population a nation  has the more it needs reform.

Crazy Horse on savagery

The savagery in the world today cannot be maintained, whether that savagery is played out on a battlefield or a corporate battlefield.

To understand this first understand savagery.  It is the wanton destruction of someone or something meaningful simply because it currently stands in your way.

Whilst this form of behaviour is tolerated in governments and boardrooms, it will be tolerated in the theatre of war.

Crazy Horse on motivation

A motivator cannot motivate someone with nothing inside them.

Motivating another is not done by tales of greatness of others, but by touching something within people, something that reminds them of who they are, what they have done and how much they are capable of doing.

This causes a time of deep reflection, followed by a change in energy and a determination to achieve beyond what they have conditioned themselves to do.

Poor values will allow this motivation to cause people to act negatively.  Good values will cause people to use the motivation to act positively.

Crazy Horse on those close to you

The greatest truth you possess is what you feel about those closest to you.

Share the truth of your feelings freely.

To not do so is to take those close to you for granted.

It is also a way of controlling them.  Moderated expression of feelings to loved ones is cruel.
