Sad as it is that Governments have to set aside a day to recognise fatherhood
Children will awake on this day excited to share something special with their Dad
With the degree of their excitement showing what they feel about their father
Adult children will be less excited but keen to show what they do or do not feel
Mostly it should be a day for fathers to reflect on their role and performance
For it should be a day for fathers to determine how they can improve, especially emotionally
For those children not able to see their father, their life is deprived
For those adult children who choose not to contact their father
They are looking at what the future will hold for them
