The eagle wondered why they always flew in straight lines

Why man needs to try to control nature and not enjoy it
And why they need routine that makes them a slave to time

The beauty of the rose is the flower,
Not the stem
For that exists to feed the flower and protect it via its thorns
The structure allows you to see and smell the beauty of the rose despite the stem
Those put off from enjoying the rose because of the thorns
Want the benefit without understanding the role of the stem in delivering the beauty
Everything that is beautiful needs a level of protection

Sad as it is that Governments have to set aside a day to recognise fatherhood
Children will awake on this day excited to share something special with their Dad
With the degree of their excitement showing what they feel about their father
Adult children will be less excited but keen to show what they do or do not feel
Mostly it should be a day for fathers to reflect on their role and performance
For it should be a day for fathers to determine how they can improve, especially emotionally
For those children not able to see their father, their life is deprived
For those adult children who choose not to contact their father
They are looking at what the future will hold for them
