In my time as an Indian, family was paramount
For it was from the history of the family that new Indians learned
Today under different karmatic conditions
Many feel they can best learn away from their family
Mostly they are right
Except for the weak and unintelligent
For their karma is to be guided by a set of values
That they are incapable of establishing for themselves
