When a mentor pushes their subject to achieve their dream and the subject feels picked on, it is the subject who has the problem.
How quickly such a subject is willing to forgo their dream because someone makes them aware of how much further they have to go to achieve it.
It is much easier to wallow in self pity than to achieve.
