A lack of fulfilment and happiness in your own life is what causes you to try to bring unfulfillment and unhappiness into the life of another.
A clever person will recognise what they are doing to another and seek to fix the gap within themselves.
A person who is not clever will ignore their own unfulfillment and unhappiness and rejoice in what they are doing to another.
