The history of a country is used to motivate citizens to act in the memory of the actions of their forefathers.
Far more powerful and meaningful is if people knew of their own history in past lives, so that they would know how to act in the best interest of themselves and earth on this journey.

The weather is hot and dry. The winds blow the top layer of soil into the air, leaving a brown hue on its journey.
Eventually the wind drops and deposits the soil elsewhere, often far away.
In this way one place gives a bit of itself to another place and they are now joined as one.

When a relationship gets to the point of apathy, that is, one or both partners no longer care about fixing the relationship, the relationship is over.
The reason they continue together is because of the same apathy which spreads. I do not feel like fixing my problems with my partner spreads to I do not feel like fixing my own life.
Apathy is an inherent laziness and lack of care for yourself and others for everyone you mix with is affected by your apathy.

When a close bond with another is withdrawn, what follows is a loss, lonliness and for a time a depression as you are forced to face life without such a close bond as an aid.
The depression lifts when you treasure what you had and the moments in which you shared it, that took you to such a higher place.
As the depression lifts, the journey to find that feeling again, begins.

As Indians, we moved high into the Black Hills for the winter so that we had more shelter, wood supply and animals to hunt than if we remained on the prairie.
By preparing for the change and making it, we were safe and rested, ready for the growth that Spring allowed.
So it is with people. Prepare for change when you feel it coming so that you can grow with it as you are able. To resist the change is to ensure you will be hurt, possibly permanently.
