Crazy Horse on connection

As an Indian, when I rode a horse, through necessity, I was conscious of my environment. Never did that distract me from my consciousness of my horse and what it needed.

When parents walk with their children, it would bode well for them to be as conscious of their children as their environment or whatever noise they are forcing into their ears.

Crazy Horse on defensiveness

In a world where noise is everywhere including verbal noise, silence is rare.

For those raised with a malicious sibling, who was able to manipulate a parent to believe all wrongs lay at your feet, you would have learned to be defensive.

Defensiveness is like a tapeworm, it grows within you.

For those who are overly defensive, resort to silence for most things you are accused of are not worth answering.

Crazy Horse on the journey

When an animal is on a journey, their journey is one of peace, aware and embracing of their environment, yet focussed quietly on their destination.

Watch and feel humans on a busy road as they drive on a journey.  They are tense, overly consumed by the actions of other drivers, annoyed at any interruption to their journey, yet willingly accepting an interruption to their peace through listening to extraneous sounds such as a radio.

They arrive emotionally exhausted, whereas the animal arrives peacefully.

The lessons are all there from the animals.  Are you humble enough to learn?

Crazy Horse on acting urgently

In the late afternoon sunshine, the coloured bird rushes across the sky squawking loudly.

This bird is carrying out a task that it urgently needs to get done before sunset and it’s squawking is not to clear away other birds in flight, but to let the birds know that it is rushing to assist, that it is coming.

Birds, like humans, are programmed to know when something is urgent and to act accordingly with a rush of adrenaline propelling them on their way.

The only difference between them is that the bird never does anything urgently, that is not urgent, whereas the human often confuses its emotions and wastes energy doing something urgently that is not urgent.

Crazy Horse on being supported

If a person puts in a post or wooden fence on a property, they will often lean on it as if too exhausted to stand on their own.  If there is no fence or a post, they will stand without any support.

It is not laziness to do this, rather it is seeking a feeling of being supported.

Thus, leaning on the post makes the person feel better at that moment.

They will never have a feeling of love for the post or fence, but they will appreciate it.

This is the human reaction to support.

Crazy Horse on power and control

In the animal kingdom which animal runs their army?  None

Which animal is the police force comprised of? None

Which animal has the job of inspecting building work done by animals?  None

Which animal runs their government?  None

In the lawless animal society which animal controls their drug trade?  None

How then is the animal kingdom able to live in peace, harmony and respect without any animal having control over them?

In searching for your answer, if you try to justify why humans are different and need different levels of control and rules, you are stuck and progress as a person and leader is still far into the distance.

Crazy Horse on diluted giving

The wildflower comes out for a short time providing an avalanche of beauty to the environment and those who see and feel it.

Once uplifted by the beauty of the wildflower it is never forgotten.

You do not gain the most from a constancy of diluted giving, rather from things or people who radiate all they are knowing what they give will exhaust them and once rebuilt they will give again.

Crazy Horse on being trapped

People who are negative from events in their life and who try to solve their problems themselves are only trying to solve it from their own negative context.

Slowly such people will become claustrophobic from their own thoughts and justifications until that negativity wraps them like a shroud from which they cannot escape.

What follows are negative actions against their own self interest.

Crazy Horse on a relationship

 Many relationships do not work.

Many do not try to make their relationship work.

Many prefer to concentrate on their work over their relationship.

Many like to think that their relationship is acceptable.

Of yourself, ask this question,  at this point of our relationship are you someone  I would ask to start a new relationship with me.

If the answer is no, you are in a relationship, not living in one.

What makes the tiger strong and powerful is not its ability to hunt for food, but its singleminded attitude to not be distracted by anything that will take away from its reason for existence.

Crazy Horse on understanding equality

If you found a flea on your animal causing it distress, would you wonder what a flea was worth?

If you found a small bug on you would you wonder what the bug was worth?

On reading this if you equated worth to money, you have much to learn.

If you have never considered the worth of a flea or bug and didn’t upon reading this, equality is still outside your grasp.

Crazy Horse on a pest

An animal pest is considered to be one which eats produce for which the owner gains no reward.

This causes people to look at the animal in a negative light, not seeing its beauty and at times wanting to kill it.

Have you considered that that self same animal sees you as a pest.

Crazy Horse on how to reduce anger

When angry you are opposed to someone.

If angry about something, you still blame someone so you can direct your anger to them.

Thus the greater harmony in your life, the less the opposition and the less the anger.

Crazy Horse on sulking

Sulking happens when a person does not get their own way and decides to withdraw themself and their energy from those who stopped them getting their own way, so as to punish them and hopefully change their future behaviour.

Thus, sulking is the province of those who want to avoid change within themself, instead wanting people to accept them and their sub standard behaviour.
