Crazy Horse on a blank screen

If you were given a blank screen to draw the remainder of your life on, what would you draw on it.

If you put anything more than love on the screen, you still have a long way to go in your evolution .

Crazy Horse on provoking anger

The easiest way to antagonise another person is to make them angry.  Once angry your ability to think or feel anything other than anger disappears.

Be aware of those who deliberately provoke your anger, for they are your enemy.

Where you continually provoke your own anger, you are your own enemy.

Crazy Horse on assistance

If my brother was in trouble I would support him.

If my sister or child was in trouble I would protect them.

Assistance varies, not in accordance with gender or age, but need.  The gender or age are incidental.

Crazy Horse on hurt from a loved one

There is no hurt worse than that inflicted by a loved one.

Having been hurt, do not take your sword out of its scabbard, for when two loved ones duel both will become exhausted and hurt.

Instead kiss and tell, then wish them well.

Crazy Horse on futile resistance

Futile resistance is trying to stop what you need, because you don't yet want it.

Crazy Horse on the peace pipe

In smoking the peace pipe we were sharing something equal. In so doing we began our discussion by finding a common ground and demonstrating our good faith to work together to solve our differences.

We then spoke of what we respected about the other person, showing our humility.

From there a discussion over our differences was able to begin and so long as both parties were truthful, a solution was found.

The way of the Indian has much to teach the leaders of today.

Divide, conquer and destroy are not the methods to find peace.
